Competing products include PlayStation Vue, Sling TV, and Hulu Live TV. Regardless, you have about three weeks left to make the transition.either to Chrome or to a different OTT video service. The time in Miami is 11am and the guide on the app is showing 9pm. The time zone on my direct tv app (former att tv) is showing incorrect. The company has not revealed why it is making this change - except to say that Chrome will in some way provide the best viewing experience - and it hasn't yet updated any of its support pages to indicate the upcoming change, which is a bit odd. Time zone on guide for new direct tv app is wrong.

DIRECT TV STREAM ON SAFARI OR CHROME DOWNLOAD
Presumably once the support is dropped, those who try to access the service using Explorer or Safari will be directed to download Chrome before getting access to the video content. Im running 2 x Apple Macs at home using macOS High Sierra and Google Chrome Browser. This change only affects those who try to watch the service from a desktop browser the service is viewable via a dedicated app when watching from a smartphone or tablet.

As i browsed the features of apple tv I dint see any browser like safari or Google chrome. 3) Watched online on DIRECTV STREAM SM with MS Edge, Chrome or Safari web browsers. Well, if you want to stream content from your computer’s. If you subscribe to DirecTV NOW and you log into your account on a computer's browser, you'll be greeted with a message that says, in part, 'DirecTV NOW will live exclusively on Google Chrome when accessed via your computer.' The notice goes on to explain that the service will drop its support for Internet Explorer and Safari 'after June.' 2) Streamed on a mobile phone or tablet with the DIRECTV STREAM App. Sigh.Ĭan anyone help me? I'm quite frustrated at this point and out of options. Save the video is Online Video Downloader. I don't know where to go from here.Īfter uninstalling the app, shutting down my device, restarting and reinstalling the app as per the advice of one of the staff, agreeing to the licensing stuff (including allowing location and phone info), enabling adobe, etc, I now get the message on the website that I should install the Direct TV player, but the link goes to a page that doesn't open! And when THAT doesn't happen, I get the message that I should make sure I am connected to the same wi-fi network that my TV is (I am). I've read everything I can on line, used all the troubleshooting guides provided by AT&T about watching DirectTV on a Chromebook that supports the app, chatted with one of the Direct TV representatives, and am now reaching out in this community forum. Had fiber installed yesterday, my problem is when i tries to stream Amazon Prime Video or Netflix it freezes up like not getting good WI FI connection, computer works fine phones work fine Direct TV works fine but hard time streaming Netflix and Prime Video. We will no longer be supporting Safari or Internet Explorer browsers after June. I'm on a new Samsung Chromebook 3, and it seems like folks are able to use the Direct TV app by downloading from Google Play, but not me. For our best streaming experience, DIRECTV NOW will live exclusively on Google Chrome when accessed via your computer. Me too! (and thanks in advance for your help).
